(Worthy News) – An exclusive report by Israel’s KAN News on Sunday revealed that Israel executed a commando raid in September on an underground Iranian missile production facility near Maysaf, Syria. The operation targeted two key sites: the Syrian defense industry’s Scientific Studies and Research Center and an underground facility operated by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
Israeli defense officials informed KAN News that Syria’s Scientific Studies and Research Center has been monitored by Israel for over a decade. The report further stated that after detecting Iran’s transfer of precision missile project components into the facility, Israel formulated operational plans to counter the escalating threat.
According to the report, the decision to launch the strike was driven by concerns about the ongoing conflict and the potential for the Iranian missile factory to start mass-producing missiles.
KAN News reported that the weapons from the raided facility were allegedly intended for Hezbollah. The operation, conducted around 200 kilometers from Israeli territory, was considered urgent to prevent the facility from reaching full production capacity, according to the report.
