(Worthy News) – Israel intensified its campaign against Iran on Thursday, striking a nuclear-weapons development facility near Tehran while continuing operations against the regime’s missile and drone infrastructure.
The Israeli Air Force hit the Taleghan nuclear-weapons development compound at Parchin, southeast of Tehran, which Israeli officials say was used for advanced explosives testing tied to Iran’s AMAD nuclear-weapons project. The site had previously been damaged in October 2024 but was reportedly being rebuilt.
The strike follows another Israeli attack earlier this month on the Minzadehei nuclear-weapons development compound northeast of the Iranian capital.
Israeli officials said the strikes are part of ongoing operations aimed at crippling Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Drone and Missile Network Targeted
The Israel Defense Forces said it has destroyed more than 250 Iranian drones and hundreds of launchers across Iran as it expands attacks on the regime’s UAV program.
During one operation, Israeli aircraft detected Iranian operatives preparing to launch a drone toward Israel and quickly destroyed the launcher and the team before the attack could be carried out.
The military added that many commanders involved in Iran’s drone program have also been eliminated.
Strikes on Regime Security Forces
Israeli forces have also targeted elements of Iran’s internal security apparatus.
The IDF said it dismantled key assets of Iran’s security forces in Ilam province, striking facilities tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Intelligence Ministry, and the Basij militia, which have been involved in suppressing recent anti-government protests.
War Continues
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir praised Israeli air crews during a visit to Tel Nof Airbase but warned that significant challenges remain.
“There are still major challenges ahead, and we must not become complacent,” Zamir said.
Meanwhile, the White House said U.S. forces participating alongside Israel in Operation Epic Fury have carried out more than 5,000 strikes on Iranian targets, significantly reducing missile and drone attacks.
Despite the damage, Iran continued launching ballistic missiles at Israel overnight, triggering air-raid sirens across central Israel. No injuries were reported.
